St. Bernard Neighborhood Campus

This water management project along Bayou St John is located within the City of New Orleans’ Gentilly Resilience District.  This combination green and gray infrastructure drainage upgrades design project aims to reduce flooding and improve recreation opportunities as a part of the larger Gentilly Resilience District.  This project sits on the banks of Bayou St. John and will serve as a community nexus as well as stormwater detention facility.  The project will include underground and above ground detention, recreation fields, a playground, and significant tree planting.  The project includes complete street design to improve mobility in the area. As a sub-consultant to Stantec Inc., Batture is performing the surveying and assisting in the engineering design for the project.
